Sami Sumaria (They/Them) - Creative Director/Co-founder
Sami (They/Them) is a British South Asian queer writer, performer, theatre maker and co-founder of Pink Milk Theatre. They champion new, exciting and challenging work that tells underrepresented stories and pushes boundaries.

After attending drama school at Guildford School of Acting, Sami wrote and performed their critically acclaimed show ‘A Splash of Milk’ and has ample experience performing on stage and screen.

Following on from performing in theatre, Sami is also a drag clown under the name Nida Hug, who’s performances embrace comedy and chaos in unexpected and daring ways, blending clowning, drag and ultimately, chaos.

Sami is currently writing a new play for Pink Milk Theatre and also writes poetry and prose.
Humnah Abdullah (She/Her) - Lead Producer
Humnah (She/Her) is a queer, British South Asian, female producer. She is excited by work that celebrates life and intersectionality and focuses on telling stories that incite joy. 

Humnah is the Lead Producer for Pink Milk Theatre, having previously worked on the critically acclaimed iterations of ‘A Splash of Milk’ and 2022 UK tour of ‘Naughty’. 

Humnah was Interim Producer at Theatre503, for 'The Great Privation: How to flip ten cents into a dollar'. She was previously the in-house Assistant Producer. During her time there, she was Assistant Producer on ‘A Woman Walks Into a Bank’, Producer on Rapid Write Responses for ‘These Demons’ and ‘ A Woman Walks Into a Bank’ and Lead Producer on their Spring Short Season 2024. 

She was previously on Stockroom’s Freelance Producer’s Fellowship for New Writing Programme as well as being selected as an Early Career Producer by Tara Theatre for their Global Majority Producer Development Roundtable (November, 2022).

Humnah was selected by Stage One for Bridge The Gap (2023 - 24) and is thrilled to be supported by the Stage One Bursary Scheme for New Producers. Humnah is also a Mental Health First Aider, qualified by MHFA England.
Andrew Houghton (They/Them) - Co-founder
Andrew (They/Them) is a queer creative from Hull, East Yorkshire and graduated from their MA at Guildford School of Acting in 2020, alongside Sami.

They are the writer and performer of one of Pink Milk’s earliest projects Naughty, which sought to generate discussion around the importance of safe LGBTQ+ role models for queer youth.

Andrew is passionate about telling queer stories and has worked alongside fellow queer theatre-makers Burning Attic and Motley Crew Presents. They also have a long-standing relationship with Qweerdog in Manchester, following the 2023 UK tour of Absolute Certainty?.

Andrew has starred in numerous LGBTQ+ short film projects including King of Spades (Gay Binge Film Festival ‘22, LGBT+ Film Festival Poland ‘23), Sinnerman (Rainbow Umbrella Film Festival ‘24), and Dead Body (Cinecity Brighton New Voices Winner ‘24, Sunrise Film Festival ‘25).
